Coco was licking her belly incessantly, and would flip around and chew on her rear end, also couldn’t sit still. That’s when I noticed red circles on her belly. I immediately took her to bathroom and bathed her. While getting her wet, a bed bug had fell off of her into tub. With a small am out of tea tree & peppermint soap (by Dr. Bonner), I mixed with very hot tap water. I scrubbed & rubbed for about 5 mins making sure to get all of her head to paws. Afterwards, I put cortisone cream on her belly where the bites are. She’s doing much better.
I had just had inspection for bugs day before. There was a single bug found on mattress cover. Manager killed it on the spot. So after Coco’s bath, I gathered all my bedding and put straight into washer. Then did a full inspection of my mattresses again. Luckily both box spring & mattress have bed bug protection covers. No other bugs detected. Checked my other dog for bites, no bug bites on her.
